Meet Our Team

Dr. Steffanie Nemitz Kohn
Dr. Steffanie Nemitz Kohn
Dr. Steffanie always had a heart for helping people. Growing up in Bloomington, WI she always knew that she wanted to bring a unique approach to wellness care to small town Wisconsin. After practicing in Madison, WI for a little over a year she had to get back to where her heart was and the community of Benton provided that opportunity.
Dr. Steffanie’s journey and commitment to health started as a young athlete. Her commitment to pursuing excellence eventually led her to play college basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in Menomonie, WI where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. Her passion for athletics eventually turned into a passion for health and a calling to help people live to their fullest potential with her motto being, “A New Way to A New You.”
Chiropractic became the obvious choice to live out that passion, as she had been adjusted regularly since 10 years old, experiencing the benefits of having a healthy spine and nervous system, recovering quickly from injuries and sickness. She strives to provide individuals and families the opportunity to lead and enjoy healthier lives through chiropractic and addressing the three T’s; thoughts, traumas and toxins.
In her free time you will find her trying to keep up to her husband Brian traveling to UW-Badger football games, up North fishing or at a concert or listening to a local band.
Dr. Katrina Kinowski
Dr. Katrina Kinowski
Dr. Katrina has a passion for helping athletes, including youth athletes, and people in/starting their fitness journey. Growing up playing sports, she realized early on the importance of taking care of your body, recovery and their effects on performance. Knowing this and with a background in athletic training, she knew she wanted to help people achieve their goals without skipping a beat!
The best way Dr. Katrina helps athletes/fitness fanatics is through specific chiropractic adjustments. She recognizes that every BODY is different and adjustments should reflect that via individualized care. When an adjustment is made, pressure on the nervous system is released which means less symptoms and dysfunction and better quality of life and optimal function!
Dr. Katrina is heavily trained in The Gonstead System of Chiropractic and is certified by the International Board of extremity Chiropractors, furthering her knowledge of injuries and corrections of biomechanics to affect the nervous system.
Dr. Katrina has made it her goal to get you to your best at what you love doing the most. She feels an important part of chiropractic is to prevent the thought of “if I had been adjusted, would I still be able to do what I love today?” and get you to think “I can do this, I love what I do!”… because she sure does!
In her free time, Dr. Katrina enjoys hiking, crossfit, Olympic lifting, and petting every dog that crosses her path!

Kelle Calvert
Kelle Calvert
Kelle Calvert grew up in nearby Platteville, WI. She has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of WI- Platteville. She has owned and operated the Calvert family’s four generation dairy farm with her husband Bill for the last twenty years. She has been interested in animal health and wellness her entire life, working part-time as a vet tech in a local combined small and large animal veterinary practice since graduating college.
As she is raising her children in an ever-changing world, Kelle’s outlook and values in life have also been changing. Her intuition was telling her that there was a bigger role in life just waiting for her to jump on board. She had always been fascinated with health, growth, and development of the body. Her focus is now directed at the human body instead of animals.
Upon starting her career with Nemitz Chiropractic, she immediately loved the positive atmosphere provided by Dr. Steff and her staff and was certain this was where she was meant to be. She is excited to learn and be a part of providing amazing services that put a smile on the patients’ faces as they better their lives. As for her wellness story, it is just beginning!
Kelle’s time out of the clinic is spent farming, landscaping, and doing anything outdoors. Also high on her list of hobbies is DIY home improvement projects. She and her family are avid sports fans and you can find her cheering on her three children from the bleachers on the field or in the gym most nights and weekends.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Your insurance card
- The completed and signed Signature Pages from Step 2
- Your lab records from the past two (2) years
Anywhere from 30 minutes to two (2) hours depending on the patient. This allows for a thorough review of your history; a physical examination; and any lab testing deemed necessary. We also allow ample time for you to ask questions.
Yes. Most new patient evaluations involve several doctors and/or nurses.
Some of the charges may be billable to insurance. Exams, x-rays, and chiropractic manipulations (aka adjustments) are billable to insurance but coverage depends on your individual policy. It is the patient’s responsibility to contact their insurance company to verify what chiropractic coverage is in place (in-network or out-of-network depending upon which insurance company you have coverage with).
Functional medicine or nutrition services are not billable to insurance at this time.
Lab work results are very important and will typically assist the doctor in determining the plan of care. If prior lab work has not been completed, our doctors may recommend lab testing at your first appointment. This typically involves blood work or test kits.
Several lab companies offer insurance billing and others are cash only. If insurance billing IS available, the lab company will bill the lab to insurance, but it will be your responsibly to check your insurance coverage. If labs are necessary, additional testing and billing options will be discussed at the time the patient receives the lab.
Most patients with nutritional health concerns will have supplements recommended. Each supplement is chosen for the patient for a specific reason based upon the symptoms described to the doctor, as well as the results of any lab testing. The doctor will get into further details about the supplements ordered for you at your second appointment.
The intent is always for the patient to eventually lessen the number and/or dosage of supplements, but the timeline for this is different for each patient and is based upon the improvement of the patient’s condition over time. Often improvements are seen by 3-6 months and again at 9-12 months, however, results may take longer if patient fails to implement the dietary recommendations.
Due to Quality control, all Supplements are non refundable.
After we receive your test results, we will call you to set up your next appointment. At this appointment, the doctor will go over your test results, your plan of care, and give you an estimate for length of care.
The billing department will meet with you to discuss financial aspects and discounted plans. Plans range from $900 to $2,500. Follow up appointments will be scheduled. These may include, but are not limited to, follow ups with the doctor, chiropractic adjustments, and dietary consultations.
Based on your signs and symptoms, X-rays may need to be completed as well as orthopedic testing. After the first few appointments, you will receive a doctor’s report. The doctor’s report will include information about your x-rays and a recommended plan of care. Adjustments will begin within the first few appointments. At this point, if you would like, you can speak with a member of our billing department about chiropractic care plans.
